Send files to someone, even without their email address
All the other person needs is the 8-character code. Upload your files below, then tell them the code by text, chat or phone.
- 100 MB per share
- 8-character code
- 3 days, extendable to 15
- No account
Find
Enter a share code to access shared content.
The 8-character code from the sender: 2 letters, then 6 digits.
When you send a file to someone, the sending part is rarely the problem. The trouble is the other end: they don’t have the right app, the link landed in spam, or they can’t remember a password for the service you used. ShareQuik keeps the recipient’s side to three short steps.
You don’t need their email address or phone number in ShareQuik itself. You pass the code on however you normally talk to them.
How ShareQuik works
- Step 1
Add files or text
Drop files into the Share panel above, up to 100 MB in total, or paste up to 3,000 words of text.
- Step 2
Generate a share code
Select Generate Code. ShareQuik uploads everything and shows a code like BX678095 that you can copy, text or read out.
- Step 3
The recipient enters the code
On any ShareQuik page they type the code into the Find panel, enter an email address, and download the files.
Easy for the person receiving it
Nothing to install
They open ShareQuik in any browser. No app store, no account confirmation email.
Nothing lost in spam
ShareQuik doesn’t send emails. The code arrives through whatever channel you chose, so it’s where they expect it.
Clear about what’s inside
After entering the code they see the title, any text you added, and each file’s name and size before downloading.
What the recipient does
- Open ShareQuik (the homepage or any page like this one) and find the panel labelled Find.
- Type the 8-character code and select Find.
- Check the files and text that appear, enter an email address, and select Download & Access. Each file downloads separately.
You can copy those steps into your message along with the code. Something like: “Go to sharequik.com, enter BX678095 in Find, then download.”
Passing the code on safely
- Send the code directly to the person rather than posting it somewhere public. Anyone with the code can open the share.
- If the files are sensitive, zip them with a password and give the password through a different channel than the code.
- Tell them when it expires. Shares last 3 days unless you extend them to 15 days right after generating the code.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the recipient’s email address?
No. ShareQuik never asks for it. You send the code to them yourself.
What if they don’t download it in time?
After the share expires the code stops working and the files are deleted. You would need to upload them again to get a new code.
Can they send files back to me the same way?
Yes. They create their own share on ShareQuik and send you the code.
Does the recipient see my email address?
No. Recipients see the share’s title, text and files, not any details about the sender.
