Share documents online without an account
Send a PDF, Word document, spreadsheet or slide deck to anyone with an 8-character code. Add a note with the files if it helps.
- 100 MB per share
- 8-character code
- 3 days, extendable to 15
- No account
Find
Enter a share code to access shared content.
The 8-character code from the sender: 2 letters, then 6 digits.
Documents often need to go to people you don’t share a system with: a landlord, a school, an accountant, a new client. Asking them to accept a cloud-drive invite or create an account adds friction. With ShareQuik they enter a code and download.
Documents are also more likely to be sensitive than photos or videos, so read the safety section below before sharing anything confidential.
How ShareQuik works
- Step 1
Add files or text
Drop files into the Share panel above, up to 100 MB in total, or paste up to 3,000 words of text.
- Step 2
Generate a share code
Select Generate Code. ShareQuik uploads everything and shows a code like BX678095 that you can copy, text or read out.
- Step 3
The recipient enters the code
On any ShareQuik page they type the code into the Find panel, enter an email address, and download the files.

Signed forms, scanned receipts or tenancy documents for a landlord or office.
Work handovers
Reports, slide decks and spreadsheets for clients outside your company.
Printing
Get a document onto a print shop or library computer without logging in there.
Sharing sensitive documents
ShareQuik has no built-in password protection: whoever has the code can open the share. For ID documents, contracts, financial or medical records:
- Put the files into an encrypted ZIP or 7z archive with a strong password.
- Upload the archive to ShareQuik.
- Send the code and the password through two different channels, for example the code by text and the password in a call.
Or use a service with named recipients and access controls. More on this in sending files safely without an account.
Make documents easy to open
- Send PDFs when the recipient only needs to read or print. Everyone can open them.
- Name files clearly (“Smith-tenancy-agreement-signed.pdf”) because recipients see the file names before downloading.
- Big scanned PDFs can often be shrunk with a “reduce file size” export.
Frequently asked questions
Can I password-protect a document on ShareQuik?
Not within ShareQuik. Protect the file itself, for example with an encrypted archive or a password-protected PDF, before uploading.
Can the recipient edit the document online?
No. They download a copy and open it in their own software.
Can I share a whole folder?
Zip the folder first, then upload the ZIP file. Browsers upload individual files rather than folders.
