Send files without registration
No sign-up form, no confirmation email, no password to remember. Upload below, get an 8-character code, and send it. The recipient doesn’t register either.
- 100 MB per share
- 8-character code
- 3 days, extendable to 15
- No account
Find
Enter a share code to access shared content.
The 8-character code from the sender: 2 letters, then 6 digits.
Most ways of sending files quietly assume an account somewhere: an email inbox, a cloud drive, or a transfer service that wants you to register before it lets you upload. When you just need to hand a file to someone once, that setup is friction you don’t need.
With ShareQuik nobody registers. The share code is what gives access, which is what makes it fast, and also the main thing to plan around (more on that below).
How ShareQuik works
- Step 1
Add files or text
Drop files into the Share panel above, up to 100 MB in total, or paste up to 3,000 words of text.
- Step 2
Generate a share code
Select Generate Code. ShareQuik uploads everything and shows a code like BX678095 that you can copy, text or read out.
- Step 3
The recipient enters the code
On any ShareQuik page they type the code into the Find panel, enter an email address, and download the files.
Sending without registration, done properly
No account on either side
The sender never logs in and the recipient never creates a profile. There is nothing to remember next time.
Minimal personal data
ShareQuik asks for an email address only if you extend a share, or when a recipient downloads files. It is never used as a login.
No inbox required
Because the code travels however you like, you don’t need the recipient’s email address at all.
Short-lived by default
Shares expire after 3 days, which limits how long a forwarded code stays useful.
What “no registration” should mean
Every transfer has two sides, and a service can be sign-up-free on one side but not the other. Before choosing a method, check both: can you upload without an account, and can the recipient download without signing in to anything?
“No registration” is also used loosely. Some services let you skip creating a password but still make you confirm an email address with a code, or require a free account after your first few transfers. Here is what each kind of service typically asks for:
- Email attachments: both people need an email account, and the file lives on in both mailboxes.
- Cloud drives: you always need an account to upload. The recipient avoids one only if you choose link-based access, which means anyone who gets the link can open the file.
- Large-file transfer services: policies vary. Some let you send with no account at all, some ask for a one-time email verification per device, and some require a free account to send.
- ShareQuik: nothing to upload; an email address only if you extend a share to 15 days; and recipients type an email address before downloading. None of these are verified or used to log in.
How to check a service before you rely on it
- Look for what happens when you press send: is there an email verification step or a login wall?
- Check whether the free tier has a monthly transfer count that forces an account later.
- Read what the recipient must do. A “no registration” service is little help if your recipient has to sign up to download.
- Check how long files are kept and whether they are deleted automatically afterwards.
For a service-by-service look at limits, see the SwissTransfer alternative and free file transfer pages, which cite each provider’s own pages.
How to send files safely when nobody has an account
- Treat the code like a key. Anyone who has it can open the share while it is active. Send it only to the intended person.
- Protect sensitive files yourself. For ID scans, contracts or financial documents, put them in an encrypted archive (7-Zip and similar tools can create AES-256 password-protected archives) and send the password through a different channel than the code.
- Keep availability short. Don’t extend a share to 15 days unless the recipient really needs the extra time.
- Only open files from people you trust. ShareQuik does not scan uploads for malware. If a file arrives unexpectedly, check with the sender first.
An 8-character code is designed for convenience, not secrecy. ShareQuik limits how quickly codes can be tried, which makes guessing impractical, but for highly confidential material an encrypted archive or an account-based service with named recipients is the better choice.
When a no-account tool is the wrong choice
- The files are bigger than 100 MB in total.
- The files need to stay available for weeks or months, or be edited by several people.
- You need to know who opened a file, or revoke one person’s access without affecting others.
In those cases an account-based cloud drive, or a transfer service with download notifications, earns its sign-up.
Frequently asked questions
Can I really send files without creating an account?
Yes. On ShareQuik you upload, get a code and share it without registering. The recipient doesn’t register either.
Why does the recipient enter an email address?
Recipients enter an email address before downloading files. There is no password or verification step, and the email is not what grants access; the code is.
Is it safe to send files without registration?
It is as safe as the way you share the code. Send it only to the right person, keep shares short-lived, and encrypt anything confidential before uploading. See staying safe above.
How long do shares last without an account?
3 days by default. You can extend a share to 15 days by adding your email address right after generating the code.
Does ShareQuik verify my email address?
No. There are no verification codes, and you never need an email address to upload.
What does ShareQuik store about a transfer?
The files, text and optional title you upload, the share code and its expiry time, and any email address entered to extend or download the share. Files and text are deleted when the share expires; email addresses are kept, as described in the privacy policy.
Can I transfer files anonymously?
You don’t need to give any personal details to upload. Like any website, ShareQuik’s servers still receive the connection details your browser sends, such as your IP address.
